Teaching Experience
In 2016, Birsa started his teaching career as a teaching assistant at Jazz House Kids and the Jazz at Lincoln Center education programs. Through Oberlin College, Chatterjee traveled to the Middle East to teach American music to the local school children there for three weeks, as well as give live performances and masterclasses. He continued on to teach private lessons at Jazz at Lincoln center and joined the faculty at Jazz House Kids based in Montclair, New Jersey. In addition to teaching at these institutions, Birsa has a private studio of regular saxophone and voice students based out of his residence in New York, NY and also teaches virtually.
